What is TR-YÖS?

“TR-YÖS” is a central exam administered by ÖSYM for students who aim to study at a university in Turkey. This exam, which will be held on 18 May 2024, is an assessment tool for all foreign students who want to study at universities in Turkey. TR-YÖS is a turning point for students who want to study in Turkey and measures their academic qualifications.

Exam Content and Format

TR-YÖS is an exam consisting of 80 questions in total and these questions measure general aptitude and basic maths skills. In this exam, which lasts 100 minutes for each candidate, mathematics and general aptitude questions test students’ analytical thinking and problem solving abilities. The scoring of the exam is calculated on a coefficient of 0.55 for each maths question and 0.45 for each general aptitude question. Also, wrong answers in the exam can affect the correct answers, so it is important to be careful.

Examination Fees and Results

TR-YÖS exam fees vary according to the preferred university and exam centre. Different fees are charged for domestic and foreign centres, and these fees generally vary between 150 TL and 1200 TL. Exam results will be announced to candidates on 14 June 2024.
