The aim of TÖMER (Turkish Language Teaching Centre) is to provide education in grammar, reading, writing, listening and speaking skills to students who want to learn Turkish as a foreign language and to help them gain knowledge about Turkish culture.
With our TÖMER course prepared for you, you will learn Turkish in the comfort of your home.
You will learn Turkish in a short time with our expert teachers and resources. You can apply to both public and private universities and start your education directly with the TÖMER CERTIFICATE you will receive from ISTANBUL UNIVERSITY with the exam at the end of the training.
You can come to Turkey with a “Turkish Language Course Purpose Visa”, obtain a residence permit and attend face-to-face classes.

I speak a little Turkish. Can I start from a higher level?
If a student states that they have previously studied Turkish but does not have a certificate to prove it, they will take a free Turkish Level Placement Test. After the exam, the level is determined immediately and the student is placed in the appropriate class. This exam is conducted online.
What is an invitation/admission letter? How can I get it?
To enter Türkiye and then obtain a residence permit after arrival, you must apply for a Turkish Language Course Visa. For this purpose, an admission letter is issued through Find And Study. The student submits this document to the relevant consulate together with the other required documents.
To receive an invitation/admission letter, the applicant must upload their passport, photo, and other required information via https://www.findandstudy.com/tomer-eng/ and pay the application fee online by credit card. You can receive your Admission Letter within two business days.
On which days and at what times are the classes held?
Our Turkish courses for foreigners are held 5 days a week (weekdays), either 08:30–12:30 or 13:30–17:30.
When do the courses start and how long do they last?
Our main term generally starts in September each year, and classes for all levels are opened based on demand. Additional classes may also be opened after the term begins depending on demand.
Each level (course module) lasts 7 weeks. There are 6 levels in total: A1 – A2 – B1 – B2 – C1 – Academic Turkish.
Where are the courses offered?
As of 2026, we provide education at three branches in Istanbul: Beyazıt – Tophane – Avcılar. Registrations are completed at the Beyazıt branch, and students are placed in other branches depending on their preference and available capacity.
In addition to face-to-face classes, we also offer hybrid and online course options. Our hybrid classes are planned so that some days are online and other days are held at our Beyazıt branch. Since the schedule may vary by term, you can contact our Education Consultant for details before registration.
Which materials are used in the courses?
We use the coursebook series “Istanbul – Turkish for Foreigners”. There are 5 sets: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and each set includes a coursebook and a workbook.
After registering, can I benefit from student rights?
Registered participants are officially considered “course attendees” (kursiyer), so they cannot benefit from discounted public transportation cards, student cafeterias, etc. However, with the student document issued by our center, entry to museums and libraries is possible.
After registering, can I obtain a residence permit?
To obtain a residence permit, you must have a Turkish Language Course Visa. After entering Türkiye, you must book an appointment within one month via e-ikamet.goc.gov.tr.
To receive a residence permit as a Turkish course student, you must have at least 6 months (3 levels) of registration. When booking the appointment, you should select “Short-Term Residence Permit” as the residence permit type.
Is there accommodation support for language center students?

After paying the course fee and completing registration, can I cancel my registration or transfer it to someone else?
Cancellations and refunds are not possible, and the registration right cannot be transferred to another person.
