Haliç University was founded in 1998 by the Society for Endowment for Children with Leukemia in Istanbul.
Haliç University is one of the private Turkish universities that has a prominent position in preserving the cultural and historical identity of the city of Istanbul. The university also received a high global ranking according to the Times Higher Education classification.

How to Apply to Haliç University
Documents required to apply to undergraduate level:
Haliç University offers the possibility of applying to the undergraduate level in all specializations with a secondary school average of no less than 60%. The requirements are:
- The secondary school certificate translated into English or Turkish and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- A transcript translated into either English or Turkish and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- A passport
- A photograph
Documents required to apply to graduate level:
Haliç University offers the possibility of applying to the graduate level in all specializations with a bachelor degree’s average of no less than 60%. The requirements are:
- The university degree translated into English or Turkish and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- A transcript translated into either English or Turkish and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- A passport
- A photograph
